Truc Troc 010

This weekend wasn't just all about birthday celebrations, I was really happy to see two of my photos hung up in the Bozar for this years edition of Truc Troc!

The concept is simple, artists exhibit their works and visitors wander around with a handful of post-its, when they come across a work that they would like to acquire they write down an offer on their post-it, and stick it up next to the work.

I would like to share with you a few of the offers that I received, I am sure that everyone who participated would agree that looking at the offers is as entertaining as discovering the new works!

Thank you to all of those who left me a word, I was really touched to see so many post-its! I haven't chosen which offers to follow up on just yet but if you really do want to have one of my works please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. I have other photographs from the same series and invite you to discover many others on my website:

For those who have a particular connection with the place shown in the large landscape (yes, it is the Justice tree, or Hanging tree near Court-Saint-Etienne), I would be happy to make a new print for you if you wish, I am glad you find it does justice to such an amazing place!

Inhabitual- The Powder and The Finger

Yep, I guess one of the good things about having a blog is that I can put work out there that I otherwise wouldn't.

This was a very non-typical experience for me, the Australian Rock Gods who go by the name of "Powderfinger" were in Brussels, and I somehow managed to meet them for a nice 8x10 portrait session. (Images might follow). I was really happy to have met them, I loved their music so much and the fact that they werent big superstars in Belgium meant I could approach them quite easily. I have always felt guilty about not having sent them the photos.

Those were hard days, and I was dreaming about making a job out of it- but it just ended up being the only group I ever photographed. Was there any future there? In any case it was a bloody good concert! :-)
